What Moves the Offer on a Used HMC

A single pallet, a two-pallet changer, and a pool running four, six, eight or more are three different removals with three different buyers behind them. After that comes spindle hours and taper condition, then the tombstone fixturing and tooling package that goes with it, then the control, whether that is Fanuc, Siemens or the builder's own. A recent spindle rebuild or a documented service history carries weight here, and more so the older the machine is: among the listings in this hub that record a build year, those years run from 1981 to 2025, on 1,665 of the 1,980. Every count on this page comes off our own catalog rather than off a category description. The hub holds 1,980 listings, all of one machine type, and 1,107 distinct model designations are recorded across them. Twenty-seven brands appear. Five of those brands carry 1,665 of the listings between them: Mazak 617, Makino 302, Okuma 274, Doosan 239 and DMG MORI 233. The other 22 brands account for the remaining 315, and six of them have exactly one listing each. The named strings include HCN5000II at 14, HCN-5000 at 9, NEXUS HCN 4000II at 9, HCN 5000II at 8, HCN-4000II at 7 and HCN-4000III at 7, plus smaller counts on HCN8800II, HCN4000II, HCN8800 and HCN6800. Read that list closely and you can see why we ask for the data plate string character for character. HCN5000II at 14 and HCN 5000II at 8 are one designation typed two ways, and HCN-4000II sits right beside HCN4000II. When you send us details, copy the plate rather than working from memory. Makino a-Series and Okuma MA and MB
Makino sits at 302 listings and Okuma at 274. On the Makino side the a-series families carry the volume: A51 23, A61NX 22, A55 18, A71 16, A81 15, A51NX 14, A61 13, A77 13 and A92 12, with A81NX, A88 and A99 at 7 apiece. Smaller counts include A71NX and A82 at 5 each, then A100E and A81M at 4. A51 at 20 and A61NX at 15 are the two highest-count individual model strings anywhere in this hub. Okuma runs MA at 114 and MB at 43, then MX 15 and MILLAC 10, with MB-5000H and MB-4000H at 10 each, MA-600HB at 9, MA-400HA at 8, MA-600HII at 7 and MA-50HB at 6. Doosan runs NHP 29 and HC 28, NHP-4000 at 7 and HC 400 at 9. Haas has 55 listings and the EC designation runs 41 in this hub, EC-400 the most common at 8.
