Used Doosan Machines We Buy
Machine Tool Exchange is a direct buyer of used Doosan machines nationwide, not a dealer or a marketplace. What we hold today runs from Puma and Lynx turning centers to DNM and Mynx machining centers and NHP horizontal centers, some with build years going back to 1980, before the line carried the Doosan name. Every offer on a Doosan machine comes from us directly, with nothing carved out for a broker.

How Selling Your Doosan Works
Send us the data plate details
Give us the model off the Doosan plate, whether it is a Puma, Lynx, DNM, Mynx or NHP, plus the build year, the control and how the machine runs today. A photo of the turret or spindle head speeds things up. Hours and service records are welcome but optional.
Hear back within 24-48 hours
We price the Doosan ourselves, as a direct buyer and not a broker, and send you a quote, usually 24 to 48 hours after the details arrive.
Pickup we can arrange
Once you accept, we can arrange the rigging, crating, freight and pickup, from a single Lynx to a row of NHP horizontals. MTE has bought used machinery since 2012.

Who Built the Machines Badged Doosan
The Doosan name on a machine tool belongs to a company that did not start out as Doosan. On the timeline DN Solutions publishes, the business began when Daewoo Heavy Industries finished building a machine tool plant in 1976, and it took the name Doosan Infracore in April 2005. In 2007 the Doosan Mecatec machine tool unit was integrated into it, and in May 2016 it became Doosan Machine Tools Co., Ltd.
In May 2022 that same company became DN Solutions Co., Ltd. So the Doosan plate normally identifies a machine sold while the Doosan name was on the company, from the Doosan Infracore years through Doosan Machine Tools; a machine filed under Doosan with a build year before 2005 predates the name, and its plate may well read Daewoo. For the maker's earlier Daewoo-badged output and its later DN Solutions-badged machines, see the separate Daewoo and DN Solutions pages on this site.
Changwon, Seongju and Yantai: Where Doosans Were Built
DN Solutions lists two factories in Changwon, South Korea, as its main Korean sites: the Namsan Factory and the Seongju Factory. Seongju was completed in 2013 to expand large-capacity machine tool manufacturing, then expanded in July 2018 because of demand for large-size models. Outside Korea, the timeline records a local subsidiary in Yantai, China, in 2002 and the start of construction on a machine tool plant there in 2003, and Yantai still appears in the maker's global service network. The data plate or the original paperwork tells you which site built a given Doosan.
The Doosan Years on DN Solutions' Timeline
Entries from the maker's history, from the April 2005 rename that put Doosan on the nameplate to the May 2022 rename that took it off:
| Year | What happened |
|---|---|
| 2005 | Renamed Doosan Infracore (April) |
| 2007 | Integrated with the Doosan Mecatec Machine Tools BG |
| 2008 | Established the largest R&D center in Korea |
| 2009 | DNM vertical machining center series named one of Korea's best-in-class technologies |
| 2013 | Seongju Factory completed for large-capacity machine tools |
| 2014 | PUMA SMX series wins a Red Dot Design Award |
| 2015 | FM/5AX series wins a Red Dot Design Award |
| 2016 | Renamed Doosan Machine Tools Co., Ltd. (May) |
| 2018 | Seongju Plant expanded for large-size models (July) |
| 2022 | Renamed DN Solutions Co., Ltd. (May), ending the Doosan name |
DN Solutions' timeline continues to 2026; the rows here stop at 2022, the last year the company carried the Doosan name.
Doosan Lines That Carried Into Today's Range
Several family names in DN Solutions' current catalog were already on Doosan nameplates, and the maker's timeline dates three of them: the DNM vertical machining center series was named one of Korea's best-in-class technologies in 2009, the PUMA SMX multitasking series won a Red Dot design award in 2014, and the FM/5AX series won one in 2015.
For lathes, DN Solutions says its turning centers lead the global turning market under the PUMA brand, covering universal turning, turn-mills, vertical turning centers and two-turret machines, while Lynx is the compact line, with 6- to 10-inch chucks on the Lynx 2100/2600 series. For mills, the maker calls the DNM the world's most widely used machine, and the Mynx II verticals, the NHP and HC II horizontals and the DBC boring mills sit alongside it.
Doosan Models That Reach Us Most
The Doosan model names that bring sellers and searchers to our site are mostly Puma lathes: the Puma 400LC, 400C and 400LB, the Puma 3100LY and Puma 4100, the Puma GT2600M and the multi-turret Puma TT1800SY, with the Lynx 220LC on the compact end. Among the mills it is the DNM 5700, the Mynx 5400, the DHM-630 and the HC 400II horizontal.
Several of those are still in DN Solutions' catalog, among them the DNM 5700, the Mynx 5400 II and the PUMA 4100/5100 series. Send the full model string, suffix letters included, because two Pumas that share a number can be quite different machines.
Doosan Spindle Work, or Selling the Machine
For a Doosan you plan to keep, DN Solutions offers three spindle routes: a new spindle with an 18-month parts warranty, a remanufactured replacement spindle with 12 months, and a professional repair with a diagnosis and report within 2 business days of receiving the spindle. Among its spindle commitments the maker lists greater compatibility between old and new models, and it counts more than 50 technical centers and 269 service posts in its network.
For a Doosan you would rather turn into money, a spindle quote or a recent rebuild invoice is useful paperwork to send with your details, and we buy the machine as it stands.
What We Look At on a Doosan
The specs that matter depend on the machine. On a Puma or Lynx turning center, chuck size, bar capacity, and spindle taper come first. On a DNM or Mynx machining center, movement on the X, Y, and Z axes and table size matter more, along with spindle rpm and motor size. Tell us the model and we will know what to ask for.
Getting an Offer Moving
Have the control version, spindle hours if tracked, and any service history ready. A photo of the turret or spindle head, the control panel, and the machine's data plate helps us scope it before anyone drives out to see it.
Where Doosan Fits in Our Inventory
Doosan is one of the largest single brands we buy, spanning CNC lathes, vertical and horizontal machining centers, turning centers, multi-tasking mill-turn machines, boring mills, and vertical turret lathes. If your Doosan does not match a Puma, Lynx, DNM, Mynx, or NHP model number, it likely still fits into one of these categories. Send the model number and we'll tell you which of these it falls under.
DN Solutions Rebrand, and the Multi-Tasking Line
Doosan Machine Tools rebranded to DN Solutions in 2022, so don't be surprised if the nameplate says one and the paperwork says the other. We buy both under the same evaluation, whether it's an older Doosan-badged Puma or a newer DN Solutions unit. SMX multi-tasking machines, which combine turning with live tooling paired to a secondary spindle, round out what we purchase, alongside the Puma, Lynx, DNM, NHP, and Mynx lines already in our inventory. Puma turning centers span a wide range on their own, the 2100 and 2600 handle smaller bar work while the 3100 and larger models step up in chuck size and bar capacity, and we scope each individually rather than pricing the whole Puma line the same way. Lynx lathes, built for compact, high-cycle production, get evaluated more on cycle time and tooling condition than raw size. DNM and Mynx vertical machining centers, Doosan's most common VMC lines, get scoped on X, Y, and Z travel plus table size and spindle rpm, and a Mynx with a 4th-axis rotary already installed tends to price ahead of a bare 3-axis DNM of similar size. NHP horizontal machining centers, built for pallet-based production, get scoped on tombstone capacity and spindle duty cycle more than on chuck size or bar capacity, since that's what matters most to a shop planning to run multiple fixtures at once.
Market Position and Timeline
Doosan sits in the mid-tier of the CNC market, from a Korean builder with plants in Changwon and Yantai, China, and a broad US dealer network and strong parts availability, which keeps used equipment moving and holding its value. On our end, most quotes come back within 24 to 48 hours once we have the model and condition, and a full transaction, from first call to pickup, typically wraps in one to two weeks. If your timeline runs longer than that, we'll quote now and schedule the pickup around your schedule instead of rushing it. Parts availability matters more for a mid-tier brand than a premium one, since a shop deciding whether to buy your used Doosan is also weighing how easily it can keep the machine running, and Doosan's dealer network is broad enough that this is rarely a sticking point the way it might be for a less common import brand. Control generation also plays into the number the way it does on any brand, a Doosan running a current Fanuc or Doosan-branded control tends to be easier for the next shop to program and integrate than an older control generation, even when the mechanical condition is otherwise similar. We track pricing against DN Solutions' current lineup too, so an older Doosan-badged machine still gets compared to what's actually moving in today's market, not a stale reference point.
Machines With Control Faults or Missing Tooling
A Doosan doesn't need to be running perfectly before we'll put a number on it. Control faults, worn spindles, or incomplete tooling all affect the number, but none of them take a machine off the table entirely. Tell us upfront what's wrong rather than letting us find it during evaluation, a machine with a known, described issue gets a more accurate first number than one we have to diagnose ourselves once we're already on site. The same applies to a partial machine, if tooling or accessories are missing, note what's actually included so the offer reflects what you're really selling rather than what the spec sheet implies. We also buy Doosan boring mills and vertical turret lathes under the same terms, condition affects the number but doesn't disqualify a machine, and a VTL or boring mill with a known issue is still worth describing to us rather than assuming it's not worth a call.

Common questions
Does Machine Tool Exchange buy Doosan machine tools?
Yes. Doosan is one of the top brands in our current inventory, across lathes, machining centers, and boring mills. We buy directly from the company that owns the machine, with no dealer, auction house, or third party involved.
Are used Doosan CNC mills for sale on this site?
Machine Tool Exchange is a buyer, not a seller. We purchase used Doosan machining centers, including DNM and Mynx models, directly from the company that currently owns them. We do not list equipment for sale or broker machines for a third party.
Do you buy Doosan Puma 400LC and similar Puma turning centers?
Yes. Puma-series turning centers, including the 400LC, 400C, and 400LB, are among the most common Doosan models in our current inventory. Chuck size, bar capacity, and spindle taper are the first specs we confirm.
Is Doosan the same company as DN Solutions?
Yes. Doosan Machine Tools rebranded to DN Solutions in 2022. Whether your machine's nameplate says Doosan or DN Solutions, we buy it under the same evaluation.
Do you buy Doosan SMX multi-tasking machines?
Yes. SMX machines add live tooling and a secondary spindle to standard turning, and they round out our Doosan lineup alongside the Puma, Lynx, DNM, and Mynx lines.
How long does it take to sell a Doosan to MTE?
Most quotes come back within 24 to 48 hours once we have the model and condition. A full transaction from first call to pickup typically wraps in one to two weeks.
Can I sell my Doosan with a future pickup date?
Yes. We can quote your machine now and schedule the pickup around your timeline, whether that's next week or a couple months out.
What if my Doosan is missing tooling or has a control fault?
Tell us upfront. A known, described issue gets a more accurate first number than one we have to diagnose ourselves on site, and missing tooling just means the offer reflects what's actually included.
Which country are Doosan machine tools made in?
Doosan machine tools are a South Korean make. DN Solutions, the company that built them under the Doosan name, lists the Namsan Factory and the Seongju Factory in Changwon as its main Korean sites, and its timeline records construction of a plant in Yantai, China, beginning in 2003. The data plate on your Doosan is the quickest way to see which site it came from.
Who bought Doosan's machine tool business?
It now sits in the DN Group. DN Solutions' own brand story says the D in DN carries the DNA of DTR Automotive and the legacy of Daewoo and Doosan, culminating in the heritage of Doosan Machine Tools, and its timeline logs the rename from Doosan Machine Tools to DN Solutions in May 2022. Nothing about a Doosan-badged lathe or mill changed with the new name, so we still quote one on its model, hours and condition.
When did Doosan Machine Tools get that name?
In May 2016. Before then the business had traded as Doosan Infracore since April 2005, and in 2007 the Doosan Mecatec machine tool unit was folded into it, per DN Solutions' company history. Paperwork for a Doosan from before 2016 may therefore name Doosan Infracore rather than Doosan Machine Tools.
Thinking about selling Doosan Machines?
Doosan is broad enough that your machine might not match a Puma, Lynx, or Mynx model number and still fit squarely into what we buy, from turning centers to boring mills to vertical turret lathes. Rather than guess at a category over the phone, send us the model number and a few photos of the data plate and turret, and we will place it correctly ourselves, with no dealer or auction house involved.
