Mazak built its QTN 250-II MSY as a multi-tasking CNC turning center with a second turning spindle, rotary milling tools and a Y axis, for DONE IN ONE work. Its W axis carries that second spindle over 23.00 in, beside 22.63 in of Z, 9.00 in of X and 4.00 in of Y. Within a 26.50 in swing it machines diameters to 14.750 in and lengths to 21.275 in, and bar of 3.0 in passes the main spindle. That integral spindle holds a 10 in chuck, peaks at 4000 rpm and gives 35.0 hp / 26 kw when rated for 30 minutes. Opposite it, a 6 in chuck turns at 6000 rpm on 10.0 hp / 8 kw, also over 30 minutes. Twelve stations ring the upper turret, whose rotary tools spin to 4500 rpm on 7.5 hp / 6 kw for 10 minutes. The control reads MAZATROL conversational and EIA-ISO code, and a gantry robot loader or bar feeder could be fitted.
