What the maker published about the Mazak QTN-250 II
The QTN-250 II is a Mazak NEXUS series lathe with two axes, sized for a 10 in chuck, and its spindle peaks at 4000 rpm, drawing 26 kW (35.0 hp) for 30 minutes. Bar capacity steps up to 77 mm, or 3.0 in. Whichever of the three beds is chosen, 20, 40 or 60 inches, the swing is 610 mm and turning diameter reaches 350 mm at most. What changes with bed length is the length a part may reach: 475 mm, 995 mm or 1495 mm of machining length, matched by Z movement of 515 mm, 1035 mm or 1535 mm. Twelve stations sit on the upper turret. Its chuck is of the through-hole type as standard. Mazak fits the Matrix Nexus CNC, which accepts both Mazatrol conversational input and EIA-ISO programs, and names a programmable tailstock and an automatic tool eye among its features. For unattended work, a bar feeder or robot loading can be integrated.
