What the maker published about the Mazak QTN 300M-II
Mazak equipped its QTN 300-II M turning center with a 10 in chuck on a main spindle that reaches 4000 rpm, and its M build adds a rotary tool milling spindle for milling and turning in one setup. Driven tools on the 12 station upper turret run to 4000 rpm, from a 10.0 hp / 8 kw motor rated for 4 minutes, while the main motor's 30 minute figure is 35.0 hp / 26 kw. Bar up to 3.0 in fits. On every bed the swing is 29.53 in and the cut diameter limit 16.540 in, with 10.13 in of X stroke. Three beds were printed: the 650U machines 26.149 in of length over 26.38 in of Z, the 1200U 63.024 in over 63.25 in, and the 1500U 83.500 in over 83.50 in. A Matrix Nexus CNC runs Mazatrol conversational and EIA-ISO programs as standard. Equipment listed: a tailstock set by program, chucks with a through hole, an automatic tool eye, and hookups for bar feeders and gantry robots.
