What the DN Solutions Name Means on a Machine

DN Solutions is the name Doosan Machine Tools took in 2022; the company's own timeline logs the change to DN Solutions Co., Ltd. in May of that year. The name ties the machine builder to the DN Group: in the company's brand story, the D in DN carries the DNA of DTR Automotive, which grew out of DONG-AH, and the legacy of Daewoo and Doosan, culminating in the heritage of Doosan Machine Tools.

The same story reads the name as a unified and powerful integration, NOW, moving toward a greater future, NEW. So a DN Solutions badge generally marks a machine built after the mid-2022 changeover, though a seller may list an older machine under the new name; this builder's earlier output wears Doosan or Daewoo plates and is grouped under those names elsewhere on the site.

Where DN Solutions Machines Come From

The Korean base is Changwon, home to the Namsan and Seongju factories, with Seoul listed as a further main business establishment. Abroad, the company lists operating companies in China, Germany, India and Vietnam, and in the US, where DN Solutions America Corporation gives an address in Schaumburg, Illinois. In August 2025 DN Solutions broke ground on a new plant in India.

HELLER, and the Lines Launched Under the New Name

The largest step since the rename is HELLER. DN Solutions announced in August 2025 that it was buying the German high-end machine tool maker, a deal it said would bring sales to EUR 2 billion, and it completed the acquisition in January 2026.

New machines have followed under the DN Solutions badge. In 2025 alone the maker launched DLX series metal 3D printers at DIMF in April, the second-generation NHP 6300 horizontal machining center in June, the PV 6300 vertical turning center in July and DNC series grinding machines for semiconductor work in November, and its DVF 5000 and DNX 2100 both won Red Dot design awards. Its turning range now opens with the LEO 1600, a 6-inch compact horizontal lathe, and sellers already ask us about current verticals such as the SVM 4100.

CUFOS and EZ WORK: The Software on a DN Solutions

CUFOS is a PC-based control that DN Solutions created itself, run from a 19-inch touch screen with app-style operation. The maker applies it to multitasking turning centers such as the PUMA SMX series and to its NHP and NHM horizontal machining centers, and the screen can be switched to the standard FANUC format. EZ WORK is the maker's own CNC application package, covering tool management, tool load monitoring, adaptive feed control and thermal compensation.

DN Solutions America's 2-year limited warranty covers machines purchased after June 1, 2016 by customers in North and South America, and it runs two years on parts, one year on machine labor and two years on controls. Behind it sit an integrated call center for claims, parts orders and technical consultation, and what the maker calls over 140 sales networks in 66 countries.
