Mori Seiki's NL2500MC/700 is a turning center in the NL2500 range of CNC lathes, and rotary tools on its turret spin at up to 6,000 rpm. For the main spindle the ceiling is 4,000 rpm, a speed that the fixtures and tools in use may not permit. Twelve tool positions are standard on the turret; a 10 position version is the option. At most a part may be 356 mm across and 705 mm long, while the machine's standard turning diameter is 275 mm. X travel is 260 mm against 795 mm for Z. Its figures include neither a Y axis travel nor a second spindle. Every dimension is in millimeters, and the page prints no control, motor, chuck or weight figure for the machine.
