What the maker published about the DMG MORI NL3000Y/2000
Mori Seiki's German spec page files the NL3000Y/2000 among its NL3000 CNC lathes and calls it a turning center with Y axis control. Shafts up to 2,123 mm long can be turned, and the biggest diameter it handles is 420 mm, while 310 mm is quoted as standard. Along the bed the Z slide covers 2,170 mm. The X stroke adds up to 280 mm, given as 210 mm plus 70 mm, and the Y stroke is 120 mm, or ±60 mm either side of center. Its main spindle is rated at 3,000 min-1, while driven tools in the turret can run at up to 6,000 min-1. Ten tool stations come as standard and twelve as an option. The table adds that the clamping device and tools in use may stop the spindle reaching its top rate, and the photo above it shows an NL3000/3000 rather than this model.
