In a 2015 archived copy of its English page on the Czech DMG MORI site, the NL 2500 is a CNC lathe of the NL series, which the page calls the first to build the drive motor and a gear belt into the turret. The series comes in four basic versions with six specific designs. On the NL 2500 the turret has 12 stations as standard, with 10 and 20 station turrets as alternatives. The spindle reaches 4,000 min-1, its through hole is 91 mm and its bearings have a 140 mm inner diameter. The turning diameter reaches 366 mm, or slightly less with a longer tool overhang, bar work goes up to 80 mm, and the X axis travels 260 mm. Rapids run at 30,000 mm/min on X and Z. A digital tailstock is fitted, and a gantry loading system was optional.
