Driven tools on the turret of the NL2000MC/500 reach 6,000 min-1, a step above the 5,000 min-1 ceiling of its work spindle. Mori Seiki's Japanese table names the machine a turning center within the NL2000 lathe range. Twelve stations make up the turret's normal count, and ten stations was the alternative listed. Pieces of up to 356 mm diameter and 510 mm length fit inside, and 275 mm is printed as the standard turning diameter. Strokes run 260 mm in X and 590 mm in Z. No Y axis and no second spindle appear among its figures, and the photograph beside them is of a different model, the NL2000SMC/500. Fixtures and tools, a footnote adds, may hold the spindle below its top speed.
