What the maker publishes about the current Tos FNG 40

TOS OLOMOUC describes the FNG 40 as a continuously controlled toolroom mill, meant above all for tool-making shops and covering thread cutting, boring, drilling and milling. A vertical milling head that tilts through ±90° is standard, while a horizontal spindle in a ram-type head, with a swing-away arm for the vertical head, has to be named in the order. Work is clamped on a fixed angular table of 800 x 400 mm. Tools are held by pneumatic and hydraulic clamping, in the horizontal spindle too when one is fitted. The guideways are hardened, their mating faces are lined with Turcite, and a pump with dosing devices lubricates them. An electric motor with stepless speed control drives the spindle through two ranges. Tool coolant, a work light and a guard around the working space come as standard, and automatic tool change is a special execution that must be named in the order.

What the Tos FNG 40 is used for

TOS OLOMOUC rates the FNG 40 CNC A for workpieces of up to 350 kg; its spindle runs from 50 to 4,000 rpm in two stepless ranges, with full power from 450 rpm, the named control is a HEIDENHAIN TNC 320, and all three axes carry direct measuring.
