Mazak's page for the QTU-250MSY sets its strokes at 215 mm on X, 100 mm on Y, 605 mm on Z and 585 mm on W, all on one 500 mm bed. A 254 mm chuck fits the main spindle, which turns to 4500 rpm and is given 20.0 hp / 15 kw for 1 minute, and no belts or pulleys sit between that spindle and its motor. The opposite spindle uses a 152 mm chuck, runs to 6000 rpm and is rated 10.0 hp / 8 kw. Parts are handed across to it automatically for a secondary operation. Twelve tools ride the turret, whose rotary tools turn to 4500 rpm, powered by 7.4 hp / 6 kw. Off the centerline, the Y axis positions the turret for drilling. Inside a 695 mm swing, work can be 340 mm across and 575 mm long, and bar up to 51 mm passes. A programmable servo tailstock is fitted, and Mazak lists its GR100 gantry loader as optional equipment.
