What the maker publishes about the current Makino V33I GRAPHITE
The V33i Graphite is Makino's graphite version of the V33i vertical machining center and shares its layout: the spindle head carries the X and Z axes, the table carries Y, and the guideways are part of the castings. Makino's page gives a 750 x 450 mm table, 650 mm of X travel, 450 mm of Y and 350 mm of Z, and a 300 kg payload with work up to 750 mm by 635 mm by 250 mm. The standard spindle is a 20,000 rpm CAT40, and 30K and 40K spindles are options, as are HSK-A63, HSK-F63 and HSK-E32 tapers. The magazine holds 25 tools, with larger magazines as options, for tools up to 80 mm across and 7 kg, with a 4.8 second tool change. Core cooled ballscrews, oil cooling of the saddle and spindle carrier and an under race lubricated spindle keep heat growth down, and Makino's page pairs it with the Professional 6 control and SGI.5 servo control.
