What the maker published about the DMG MORI SL-80B

In German, Mori Seiki gives the SL-80B, a CNC lathe, a 900 mm maximum turning diameter, while turned lengths are capped at 250 mm. Movement covers 420 mm across on X and 1,100 mm along Z. Rather than a single speed, the spindle is geared through four ranges, each printed as a trio of numbers: 2 to 39 to 100, 3 to 86 to 224, 3 to 95 to 250, and 9 to 212 to 550 min-1. Six tool places sit on the turret. Eight are possible with an optional head, though a note tells readers to consult the maker first. No motor, control, chuck or bar figure is printed. The picture above the data is of the SL-80, not of this B version.
