What the maker published about the DMG MORI SL-80

Four gear ranges divide the spindle speeds of the SL-80, one of the SL line CNC lathes from Mori Seiki, and the table writes each range as three figures: 2, 39 and 100 min-1 in first, 3, 86 and 224 in second, 3, 95 and 250 in third, and 9, 212 and 550 in fourth, so 550 min-1 is the highest speed shown. The sheet lists a turning diameter of up to 600 mm (23.6 in.) and turned work up to 250 mm (9.8 in.) long. Its cross slide travels 420 mm (16.5 in.) on X, and Z reaches 1,100 mm (43.3 in.). A six station turret is standard. An eight station head is bracketed as an option, with a footnote asking that Mori Seiki be consulted about it.
