Mori Seiki's SL-65A belongs to the SL-65 family of CNC lathes. Its 820 mm turning diameter is qualified by a footnote: it holds only for work no longer than 70 mm. Overall, parts up to 790 mm in length fit. Strokes are 435 mm for X, made up of 410 mm and 25 mm, and 860 mm for Z. Two speed bands are printed for the spindle, 4 to 1,800 min-1 in normal running and 2 to 1,135 min-1 in the low range. A second footnote adds that the chosen tooling and clamping can prevent machining at full speed. The turret carries 12 tools, and none of the figures on the sheet is marked as optional.
