What the maker published about the DMG MORI NLX-2500MC
DMG MORI places the NLX2500MC in its NLX 2500 family of CNC lathes, and the page gives the 1250 bed version a chuck of 10 inches. Its BMT turret has the motor for rotating tools built into the turret itself. The turret takes 10 tools, 12 optionally, bar up to 80 mm passes the spindle, and the X axis moves 260 mm. Length figures on this page belong to the 1250 bed version only: a turning length of 1,255 mm, a turning diameter of 366 mm and 1,345 mm of Z travel. Every axis runs on slideways, while coolant circulating through the bed curbs thermal growth. Y and SY variants of the 1250 add a Y stroke of ±50 mm, with ±20 mm in brackets. A loader and a steady rest are among the options for shaft work. Controls named are MAPPS IV on a 10.4 inch TFT, and CELOS with MAPPS on a 21.5 inch ERGO line panel.
