Archived in 2015, the NLX2000SY/500 page on DMG MORI's Czech site is written in English and covers the NLX 2000 lathe range, in which the SY type combines a second spindle and a Y axis, and the /500 figure marks the bed length. Its BMT built in motor turret is meant to bring milling close to what a machining center does: the maker reports that vibration at the turret falls below one third and its heat rise below one tenth, alongside its own thermal displacement control. Slideways carry every axis, and coolant circulating inside the castings holds thermal displacement down. The Y axis travels plus or minus 50 mm, the second spindle reaches 6,000 min-1, and the maximum turning diameter with the 8 inch (203.2 mm) chuck is 366 mm. Turning length is 510 mm with 590 mm of Z travel. The turret has 12 stations, with 10 and 20 station versions, and bar feeders and gantry loaders were among the automation listed.
