The NLX 2500/700 is a DMG MORI universal turning center: an NLX 2500 built on the Type 700 bed, the shorter of the two bed types the maker lists, the other being Type 1250. With the 700 bed, work up to 460 mm across and 705 mm long fits the machine, and the Z stroke is 795 mm. X travel is 260 mm. Its BMT, short for Built-in Motor Turret, drives rotary tools at speeds of up to 10,000 rpm. All linear axes move on slideways, and an energy-saving setting is listed. MAPPS Mitsubishi is the named control. DMG MORI shows the machine with the GX 10 T gantry loader, rated for parts as large as ø 200 by 150 mm and as heavy as 10 kg. The second generation, shown in 2024, has 10 to 20 tool positions on a BMT60, BMT40 or VDI40 turret.
