What the maker published about the DMG MORI DURAVERTICAL 5100
Mori Seiki's DuraVertical 5100, a vertical machining center in the DuraVertical line, works on a 1,350 × 600 mm table that accepts parts weighing up to 1,000 kg. The table itself slides lengthwise for the 1,050 mm X stroke. A crosswise saddle gives 530 mm of Y, and the spindle head moves up and down 510 mm for Z. Only one spindle speed is printed, 10,000 min-1, and the sheet shows no faster spindle beside it. Tool holders take a BT40 shank, with CAT40 listed as the optional alternative. The magazine stores 30 tools, and no bigger magazine appears on the page. According to the maker, the chosen fixture and tools can stop a cut from running at full speed, and no control or motor rating is named.
