What the maker published about the DMG MORI NV-5000A/40
On Mori Seiki's NV5000A/40, a vertical machining center from the NV series, the table runs 800 mm end to end for X and carries a 1,100x600 mm work surface rated for 1,000 kg. Y and Z each measure 510 mm, the first from the saddle moving across and the second from the head moving vertically. In standard form the spindle reaches 12,000 min-1, and a 20,000 min-1 spindle was the option. The standard magazine takes 30 tools; a 60 tool magazine could be ordered instead. Holders follow the MAS BT-40 standard, and CAT-40 was the optional shank. The maker cautions that clamps, fixtures and tools on a given job can hold the spindle below its rated speed. The sheet carries no rapid, motor or control figures.
