What the maker published about the Amada EM2510NT

AMADA GmbH introduced the EM-2510NT as a CNC turret punch press whose punching drive is servo-electric rather than hydraulic. The German page says this drive joins the traits of a mechanical press to the speed of a hydraulic high-speed machine, needs almost no maintenance and draws very little power, and that its "Twin Drive", used for the first time here, outpaces hydraulic punches in some tasks. Punching force is 200 kN. A sheet can be worked across 2500 x 1270 mm in one setting, or 5000 x 1270 mm with repositioning. The turret runs on three tracks and holds 45 stations, 4 of them rotating, and the largest station takes 114.3 mm tools that can also be rotated. Control comes from the AMNC generation, which can join the AMADA network and matches other AMNC machines. The press also fits AMADA's modular automation, so a shop can automate it later.

What the Amada EM2510NT is used for

AMADA's German page says the EM-2510NT's servo-electric drive, together with its new three-track turret, opens new options for forming and for cutting free contours, in sheet up to 3.5 mm thick.

When the Amada EM2510NT was built

AMADA's German site presented the EM-2510NT as its new CNC turret punch press on a page the Wayback Machine captured in November 2003, so the press was in production by 2003.
