What the maker published about the Tos SN 71C

Called a classic product by TRENS a.s., the SN 71 C has as its main strength the turning of large pieces of material. The bed swings 710 mm, the slide clears 420 mm, and the gap opens to 960 mm over a usable length of 300 mm. Four bed lengths appear: 1500, 2000, 3000 or 4000 mm between centers, at a center height of 355 mm. Up to 1500 kg can be turned between centers. Through the spindle runs a 73.5 mm bore with a metric 80 internal taper, and speeds cover 10 to 1000 min-1, with the greatest torque, 2400 Nm, reached at 20 min-1. The cross slide moves 400 mm and the tool slide 180 mm, which accepts tools up to 40 x 25 mm. Rapid traverse runs 3000 mm a minute along the bed and 1500 mm a minute crosswise. Depending on bed length, the lathe weighs between 2960 and 3580 kg.
