What the maker published about the Tos SN 50C

TRENS a.s. aimed its SN 50 C center lathe at one-off and small-batch turning, and its German page says repair shops can put it to work as well. Over the bed it swings 500 mm; over the slide, 270 mm; and in the gap, 700 mm across a usable gap length of 230 mm. Three bed lengths are given, 1000, 1500 and 2000 mm between centers, and the center height is 250 mm. Spindle speed spans 22 to 2000 min-1. Between centers the lathe is rated for 300 kg of work. Powered rapid traverse is fitted: 3000 mm per minute lengthwise and 1500 across, driven by a motor of its own. The cross slide stroke is 300 mm, while the tool slide moves 140 mm and takes tools up to 32 x 20 mm. A large working range and a wide choice of accessories and versions are the strengths TRENS lists.
