What the maker published about the Tos SN32
On its German product page, TRENS a.s. calls the SN 32 a universal center lathe driven by a 4 kW main motor, and it names compact size as the machine's chief strength. Work up to 330 mm across swings over the bed and 168 mm over the cross slide, while the gap admits 520 mm across a 230 mm length. Two bed lengths give 750 or 1000 mm between centers, with the centers 160 mm above the bed. Spindle speed spans 14 to 2500 min-1, through a spindle bored to 52 mm with a Morse 6 internal taper. The cross slide travels 250 mm and the tool slide 140 mm, and no rapid traverse is listed on either axis. Parts of up to 132 kg can be held between centers, or 80 kg when overhung in the chuck alone. The tailstock quill is 70 mm thick with 180 mm of stroke, and the page ties the exactness of machined surfaces to STN ISO 1708.
