Okuma builds the LB45III as a single-saddle horizontal CNC lathe, and it sits in the LB Series beside the LB35III. Work up to 660 mm across can be turned. The standard bed gives 750 mm of turning length, while optional beds lengthen that to 1,000, 2,000, 3,000 or 4,000 mm. The spindle nose is an A2-11 as standard, and an A2-20 nose is optional. Standard drive power is 37/30 kW, and optional motors of 45/37, 50/40 and 60/50 kW are also listed. Twelve tools mount on the NC turret. The X slide rapids at 15 m/min, the Z slide at 20 m/min. Three versions appear in the feature list: L for turning, M with milling tools on the revolver, and MY, which pairs those milling tools with a Y-axis. The milling function is optional; with it the machine also drills, mills and taps besides turning.
