What the maker publishes about the current Okuma GI-10NII
Okuma builds the GI-10NII as an internal grinder in its GI series, made for finishing bores on smaller parts at production rates. Okuma names bearing seats and the smallest engine parts as examples of that work. Bores up to 150 mm can be ground, and grinding length also reaches 150 mm. The wheel motor is rated at 5.5 kW. Rapid traverse is 20 m/min on the X axis and 30 m/min on the Z axis. Floor space is 2,050 x 2,100 mm, which the maker presents as a compact footprint for a production grinder. Okuma develops the control, drives and motors itself and matches them to one another. The machine can be automated with a gantry loader from Okuma.
