16 Okamoto ACC-12-24ST listings have come through the used market we track: 4 marketplaces, built 1997–2008 where given; one early year that only one marketplace reports is left out; 12 machines once repeats are merged.
An archived Okamoto Corporation page for the ACC-ST Series of saddle type surface grinders shows the ACC-12.24ST, with its specification table set between the ACC-8.20 and the ACC-16.32. The controls are grouped on a pendant, and reversing the saddle sets off the automatic downfeed. The way surfaces are scraped by hand, and the control is solid state. In the 12.24 column the standard chuck measures 12 by 24 inches, the wheel can sit as much as 13.7 inches above the table, and the table carries 925 lbs with the chuck on it. The wheel is 12 inches across, 1.5 inches wide and 5 inches in the bore, and it turns at 1,800 rpm on 60 Hz power. A 5 hp motor drives the wheel spindle, and the vertical feed has a 0.5 hp motor of its own. By comparison, the ACC-8.20 takes an 8 by 20 inch chuck on a 2 hp spindle, and the ACC-16.32 takes a 16 by 32 inch chuck with a table load of 1,540lbs.
