Mazak's SUPER TURBO-X 2412 is a laser processing machine, one of three sizes in the SUPER TURBO-X range along with the 3015 and 4020. Work up to 1250 mm wide and 2500 mm long fits its working area, and its axes move 2520 mm on X, 1270 mm on Y and 90 mm on Z. Here the table is the moving part, a layout the page links to good access and to small lots of many different parts. A constant beam path length is kept across the whole table. For the range, the page lists oscillator outputs of 2.5kW and 4.0kW. Two Intelligent functions are described: one automates the setup and adjustment needed whenever plate thickness or material changes, and one uses a sensor in the processing head to detect piercing breakthrough and faults such as burning or plasma, then corrects the cut or halts it for a time. Mazatrol Preview 3 is the CNC named, and the photograph shows a SUPER TURBO-X 3015 instead.
