What the maker published about the Mazak SQT 250M

In Mazak's SQT 250M, a 10" through-hole chuck mounts on an A2-8 nose, and milling is part of the standard build. An AC 18.5 kW motor, rated 25 HP over 30 minutes, drives the main spindle to 4,000 rpm. Turned parts may reach 11.81" across and 21.18" in length. Twelve stations fill the servo-driven VDI turret, which indexes in .2 sec and accepts square shanks of 1" x 1" plus boring bars of 1.5". The driven tool spindle runs 4,500 rpm, or 6,000 rpm optionally, on 3.7 kW (5 HP) over a 10 minute rating. Both X and Z move at 1,200 IPM in rapid, and C-axis rotation goes to 400 rpm.
