Mazak built the QTN 200-II as a two-axis CNC turning center around an 8 in chuck, and a through-hole chuck comes as standard equipment. Bars up to 65 mm (2.6 in) thick feed through it. Three bed lengths appear in its table, 20 in, 40 in and 60 in, differing only in reach along Z. On each, work can swing 24.02 in and be turned to 13.780 in across. Machinable length is 20.161 in on the short bed, 40.534 in on the middle one and 60.275 in on the long one, matching Z coverage of 21.13 in, 41.50 in and 61.13 in. The 35.0 hp (26 kW) spindle drive carries a 30 minute rating and a 5000 rpm limit. Its upper turret mounts 12 tools. Programs can be written in Mazatrol conversational form or in EIA-ISO code on the Matrix Nexus control, and a tailstock under CNC command and an automatic tool eye complete the equipment. For automation it can take a bar feeder or else a gantry robot loader.
