What the maker published about the Mazak QUICK TURN NEXUS 400II

Mazak's QTN 400-II is a CNC lathe from its NEXUS turning line, whose 12 in chuck mounts on a main spindle integrated with its motor. Over 30 minutes that motor is rated for 50.0 hp / 37 kw, and spindle speed stops at 2500 rpm. The spindle admits bar work up to 4.0 in. A part may swing 33.27 in above the bed and be machined to 22.800 in across. Mazak listed three beds, the 1000U, 2000U and 3000U, and on them the longest machinable part grows from 40.354 in to 81.693 in and then 123.000 in, while the Z slide covers 42.13 in, 83.50 in or 124.80 in in the same order. Cross slide movement is 12.13 in whatever the bed. Twelve tools ride on the upper turret. Its MATRIX NEXUS control is programmed in MAZATROL's conversational language or in EIA-ISO, and the page also lists a tailstock under CNC program, an automatic tool eye, and through-bore chucking.
