What the maker published about the Mazak HQR-250MY
Mazak fitted the HQR-250MY turning center with a pair of turrets that each drive rotary tools and each move on a Y axis. Its figures cover the 700 mm universal bed. On the spindle sits a 10 inch chuck; 4,000 min-1 is the speed limit, and 80 mm bar passes through. Work swings to 370 mm, and the upper turret can cut diameters to 344 mm. Both turrets index 12 tools. The upper slide strokes 207 mm on X1 and the lower one 141 mm on X, Y gives 100 mm for the upper turret against 70 mm for the lower, and Z1 and Z2 cover 760 mm and 815 mm. Floor dimensions come to 3,625 mm long by 2,885 mm wide. A MAZATROL control came as standard, while bar feeders, a workpiece unloader or a robot were optional automation.
