What the maker published about the Mazak HCN-4000III
Mazak's HCN 4000-III belongs to the HORIZONTAL CENTER NEXUS family of horizontal machining centers. It loads work on 400 mm (15.750 in) pallets, two of them on a pallet changer that comes standard. The X axis moves 560 mm, while Y and Z each give 640 mm. A part up to 630 mm in diameter and 900 mm tall fits the work zone. Four kinds of integral motor spindle were named for this model: high speed, semi-high speed, high torque and standard. In the specification table the spindle has a 40 taper, a 12000 rpm ceiling and a 30 minute motor figure of 25.0 hp / 19 kw. The same table gives a 40 tool magazine, and the page cites other magazine capacities too. Mazak's PALLETECH System could connect the machine to pallet automation.
