Makino builds the DA300 as a five-axis vertical machining center. Its tilt-trunnion table carries an A axis that swings 150° (+30 to -120) and a C axis that turns 360°, each moved by a direct-drive motor. The integral table is 300 mm x 340 mm, with pneumatic ports for adding a pallet system. Linear strokes are 450 mm in X, 620 mm in Y and 500 mm in Z. Rapid traverse and cutting feed both reach 60,000 mm/min. A two-range HSK-A63 spindle tops out at 20,000 rpm and is rated at 29.5 HP. Sixty tools fit the standard magazine, with 118 or 311 as options, and a chip-to-chip change takes 3.5 sec. Parts may measure 450 mm across by 400 mm, a conditional limit, and the payload is 250 kg. Standard equipment includes 210psi through-spindle coolant, a Vision broken tool sensor and the Makino Professional 6 control.
