In KURAKI's KBM 11X, a table-type CNC horizontal boring mill, cutting feed works on both Z and W, and a canned cycle can run along either one. The 110 mm spindle covers 5 to 3000 min-1 in two ranges on a 22/18.5 kW motor. In standard form the X and Y strokes are equal at 1000 mm, the table shifts 700 mm sideways on Z, and W reaches 350 mm. The special build carries 1500 mm of X travel and 1200 mm of Y; it is 3120 mm tall rather than 2840 mm, and its mass rises from 12800 kg to 14300 kg. The table, 950 by 1050 mm, takes 3000 kg of evenly spread load. Thirty BT50 tools sit in the magazine. Through-spindle coolant and a pallet changer were among the special options. One key brings up the operating monitor screen, and another the maintenance screen.
