The KBT-13EA from KURAKI pairs a moving table with a column that shifts sideways, laid out as a CNC horizontal boring and milling machine of the table type. Its 130 mm boring spindle is itself the numerically controlled W axis, extending 650 mm, while X carries the table 3000 mm front to back and Z moves the column 1300 mm left to right. Four gear steps take the spindle from 5 to 4000 min-1, and the main motor carries a 45 kW rating for 30 minutes and 37 kW for continuous running. A 40-pocket magazine holds BT50 tools chosen at random by the nearer route; each tool may be 125 mm across, or 240 mm when the pockets beside it stand empty, 400 mm long and 25 kg. Large diameter ball screws position the axes, which rapid at 10 m/min in X, Y and Z and 6 m/min in W. The table indexes to 0.001 degree and is pinned at every 90 degrees. Operation runs from a pendant panel.
