What the maker published about the Hyundai WIA L300A

In 2013 WIA Machine America's site set out the L300A Series, a family of turning centers in which the L300A is the base two axis model with a 10 inch chuck. On the L300A the turning length reaches 720 mm, and bar stock as thick as 76 mm fits through the spindle. Rapids are 20 m/min in X and 24 m/min in Z. Its spindle runs to 3,600 rpm, and the maker says the spindle design keeps thermal growth small at high speed and under heavy cutting loads. The maker says its box guideways stay rigid even under heavy cutting. The other models on the page add letters to the name: L for a longer turning length of up to 1,320 mm, M for a BMT turret whose top plate clamps every tool with 4 screws, and S for a sub spindle taking an 8 inch chuck that runs to 4,000 rpm.
