What the maker published about the Hyundai WIA KIT450

Gang tooling defines the KIT450: instead of an indexing turret, its cutters are mounted side by side on a block, the arrangement Hyundai WIA used across the whole KIT range of compact lathes. The cross slide that carries that block has 17.7 in (450 mm) of stroke, well beyond the 11.8 in (300 mm) given to Z, and the two rapid at 1,181 ipm and 1,417 ipm respectively. Linear motion guides support the slides, and pretensioned double nut ball screws, double anchored, drive the axes. Swing over the bed measures 20.9 in, turning length is capped at 12.8 in, a 6 inch chuck is fitted to the main spindle, and stock of 45 mm diameter fits through it. The motor is listed at 11/7.5 kW, or 14.7/10 hp, and the gearless spindle peaks at 6,000 rpm. The grid marks Y travel N/A and leaves its sub spindle rows empty.
