On Hyundai WIA's English product page the KIT4500 is a gang type turning center: its cutting tools sit in a gang block on a table instead of a turret. The one piece bed is slanted at 60 degrees, which the maker says helps chips fall clear and keeps the chuck within reach while tools are set, and the spindle is mounted at that same 60 degree slant to limit thermal error. LM guides run on every axis. X travels 450 mm and Z 300 mm, rapids reach 30 and 36 m/min, and the turning envelope measures Ø165 mm by 300 mm. The gang block takes 6 tools, square 20 mm shanks for outside work and Ø32 mm bars for bores, on a 200 × 550 mm table. Against the earlier model, the page claims half the thermal drift on X, three support bearings on the X ball screw instead of two, a 120 liter coolant tank and 30% more room for chips.
