What the maker published about the Hyundai WIA KIT250

The KIT250 is a small Hyundai WIA lathe from the KIT series, and like the rest of that series it holds its cutters in gang style block tooling rather than on a turret. Its bed base is flat, linear guides carry the slides, and a gearless spindle turns at up to 7,000 rpm on 7.3/5 hp (5.5/3.7 kW). Work up to 12.6 in can swing over the bed, and the table lists a 5.9 in maximum turning length, a 5 in chuck and a bar capacity of 1.26 in. The cross slide moves 9.8 in on X, Z travel is 7.9 in, and no Y axis is fitted. X rapids at 945 ipm and Z at 1,181 ipm, each driven by a double nut ball screw that is pretensioned and anchored at both ends. The page lists no sub spindle for it.
