What the maker published about the DMG MORI ZL200SMC

Mori Seiki fitted the ZL-200SMC with twin turrets and two headstocks and called it a synchronous, dual process turning center. Turret 1 carries 12 stations, turret 2 only 8, all of them able to drive rotary tools, whose limit is 3,000 min-1; turret 1 alone can take an optional 4,000 min-1. Just one spindle range appears: 40 up to 4,000 min-1. Headstock 2 has a 505 mm B axis stroke, and any part passed over to it is limited to 168 mm in diameter, while 180 mm is the standard turning size. From turret 1 the turned diameter can reach 390 mm, from turret 2 294 mm, and lengths run to 424 mm. Turret 1 strokes 235 mm on X (195 plus 40) and 520 mm on Z; turret 2 strokes 175 mm (147 plus 28) and 490 mm. The page's photo is of a ZL-200.
