What the maker published about the DMG MORI NL 3000/700

Within Mori Seiki's NL3000 group of CNC lathes, the NL3000/700 is the version whose turning length stops at 713 mm, and its Japanese spec table puts the largest turning diameter at 420 mm, with 310 mm as standard. The Z slide has 820 mm of travel. X travel is 280 mm, split as 210 mm plus 70 mm. A single spindle figure appears, 3,000 min-1, together with the caution that the jig or tool in use can prevent the spindle from reaching it. The turret mounts 10 tools as standard and 12 as an option. That table gives this model no Y stroke and no speed for driven tools, and the picture on the page is of the NL3000Y/700, the Y axis machine, so it shows a different lathe from the one these figures describe.
