Archived in 2015 from DMG MORI's Czech site, where it appears in English, the NH5000 DCG/40 page presents a horizontal machining center of the NH Series. Its axes are pushed through their center of gravity, the maker's DCG design, inside a box in box frame, which the maker credits with low vibration, fast acceleration, rounder bores, finer surface finish and longer tool life. Travels are 730 mm in X and Y and 850 mm in Z, over 500 x 500 mm pallets that carry 500 kg as standard and 700 kg optionally. The spindle reaches 14,000 rpm, with 22,000 rpm optional, on a 22 / 18.5 kW motor. All axes rapid at 50 m/min, and tool changes take 0.9 seconds. The chain magazine has 40 pockets as standard, with 60 and 120 pocket chains and 180 to 360 pocket racks optional. A full 4th axis table with a direct drive motor (DDM) and 0.001 degree indexing was optional, and pallet pools add automation.
