Mori Seiki's NH5000/50 is a horizontal machining center whose spindle takes BT50 tooling, with CAT50 shanks as the alternative, and turns at up to 8,000 min-1. Its column slides 650 mm lengthwise for X, the spindle head climbs 600 mm on Y, and the table moves 730 mm across on Z. Work rides on 500 × 500 mm pallets, each rated for a 500 kg load, and a part may be as large as 730 mm in swing diameter and 900 mm in height. The tool magazine has room for 60 tools in its basic form, while 40 and 120 tool magazines appear as options. A footnote on the German page warns that some tools and clamping devices rule out the full spindle speed. The photograph beside the table shows the NH5000/40, a different model, rather than this one.
