Mori Seiki's MH-1003, from the MH series, is a horizontal machining center whose pallet measures 1,000x1,000 mm and carries up to 3,000 kg. A part may swing 2,000 mm in diameter and stand 1,550 mm tall. The table moves 2,040 mm lengthwise for X, the head climbs and drops 1,300 mm on Y, and the column travels 1,200 mm across for Z. Tooling uses the MAS BT-50 shank, with CAT-50 as the option. The spindle is rated to 6,000 min-1, though the clamping, fixture and tool on a job can keep it slower. Its standard magazine holds 120 tools, and 180 and 240 tool magazines were optional. Metric figures come with inch equivalents, such as 80.3 in. for X.
