Haas Automation builds the VF-2YT as a three-axis vertical machining center in its VF Series, with the YT suffix marking a longer Y axis than the base VF model carries. Travels run 30.00 in on X, 20.00 in on Y and 20.00 in on Z. The spindle nose sits between 4.0 in and 24.0 in above the table. That table measures 36.0 in by 18.0 in, has three T-slots, and takes up to 3000 lb spread evenly. An inline direct-drive spindle reaches 8100 rpm with a 30.0 hp rating and accepts CT or BT 40 tooling. Peak torque is 90.0 ft-lbf at 2000 rpm, and an optional gearbox raises it to 250 ft-lbf at 450 rpm. A carousel tool changer holds 20 tools and averages 4.20 s from one tool to the next. Rapids reach 1000 ipm on each linear axis, while cutting feed tops out at 650 ipm.
