The TM-2P is a 40-taper toolroom mill in the Haas TM-P Series, fitted with a 10-pocket carousel tool changer. The X stroke is 40.00 in, and Y and Z travel 16.00 in each. Its table, 57.8 in long and 10.5 in wide, has 3 T-slots and carries 350 lb of evenly distributed load. Spindle speed climbs to 6000 rpm. Power reaches the spindle through a belt, with a rating of 7.5 hp and 33.0 ft-lbf at 1200 rpm. CT and BT 40 holders both fit. The machine feeds at up to 400 ipm when cutting and traverses at the same 400 ipm in rapid. Each of the 10 tools may weigh up to 12.0 lb and measure 3.5 in across. One tool replaces another in 5.70 s on average, and chip-to-chip time is 6.50 s. Between nose and table there is 4.0 in to 20.0 in of room. The feature list names conversational programming and HaasConnect remote monitoring.
