What the maker published about the Haas TM-3P
The TM-3P is a Haas toolroom mill from the TM-P Series, and Haas says it has more X and Y travel than the TM-2P: 40.0 in on X, 20.0 in on Y and 16.0 in on Z. Its 57.8 x 14.5 in table, cut with 3 T-slots, takes up to 1000 lb (454 kg) spread evenly. The belt-driven spindle peaks at 6000 rpm, rated 7.5 hp (5.6 kW) and delivering 33.0 ft-lbf at 1200 rpm; its bearings are grease packed and the spindle is air cooled. Tools sit in a 10-pocket carousel changer and take 40-taper holders in CT or BT form. Feeds, rapid and cutting alike, run at 400 ipm, and each axis motor gives 2000 lbf of thrust. The mill can be wired for either a single-phase or a three-phase supply. Haas lists a conversational programming system and says the TM-P mills can be run without knowing G-code.
