Haas made the Mini Mill 2 as a three-axis vertical mill on 40-taper tooling, with longer travels than the standard Mini Mill. The X axis covers 20.0 in, Y 16.0 in and Z 14.0 in, with 4.0 in minimum and 18.0 in maximum clearance under the spindle nose. The table measures 40.0 in by 14.0 in, has 3 T-slots, and holds 500 lb when the load is evenly distributed. A direct-speed belt drive powers the spindle: 7.5 hp, 6000 rpm, and peak torque of 33 ft-lbf at 1200 rpm, with CT or BT 40 holders. A carousel changer accepts tools up to 3.5 in in full diameter and 12 lb each. On all three axes the rapid rate is 600 ipm, while cutting feed is limited to 500 ipm. Supply may be single-phase or three-phase, and air demand is 4 scfm at 100 psi.
